December 2021
Good evening,
Please find attached my December art newsletter (the link is at the end of this page). I'm trying something new...not sure if it works so be patient, please.
I forgot to add my music selection so I've added them below. Music can and will inspire me to work, to paint. I begin to feel paintings come alive in my head, they call to me to paint, to work in the studio. Jim one evening inadvertently played "one of my painting music selections" and yes, I had to ask him to turn it off as it began to speak to my creative side. With certain pieces of music, I follow the emotional connections suggested. I apologize in advance for the ads on YouTube...so very annoying.
The first piece of music needs no explanation ~ horses! I have ridden on a beach and it is pure magic. What is even more incredible is swimming with a horse!

The second piece is a deeply felt piece sung by the Finnish Military Men's Choir, and Jorma Hynninen, Veterans Evening Call. It brings tears to my eyes recalling stories told to me by my parents. It tells the story of the struggle of Karjala, the price of freedom was great for a small country. "Tell your children the price we paid...do not forget, remember..." This holiday is celebrated annually on December 6th and marks the Declaration of Independence from the Russian empire by the Finnish Parliament in 1917.
